General Information

The purpose of the Tomball Cougar Pride Band Booster Club is to:

  1. supportSupport the goals and objectives of the band program as set forth by the Band Directors;
  2. Provide financial support for the band program;
  3. Assist the director, the staff and the students with administrative and logistical support;
  4. Encourage the interest of the school district and the community as a whole toward the Tomball Cougar Pride Band; and
  5. Unite the members of the organization, band members, Band Directors, and administration in the bonds of good fellowship.

Every band and color guard student benefits from the Booster Club’s activities and fundraising, and every parent has talents and gifts that can benefit our students. We encourage all family members to get involved.  You can do this by:

  • Becoming a MemberContact our treasurer to join the Boosters at any time during the year.
  • Volunteering to Help – We need volunteers year-round to serve in club leadership, chaperone activities, serve meals during camps and other band activities, help with transportation, help with fundraisers, organize and clean uniforms, work in concession stands, build props, help the kids as equipment crews, and more.  Contact any of the officers (below) to talk about how you can help!
  • Supporting our Fundraisers – Whether you bring a foursome to golf, buy an item at a silent auction, bring a friend to our luncheon, work the concession stands, or shop our garage sale, every bit of help goes a long way.  Helping to locate donations and sponsors are critical to the success of our fundraisers.
  • Becoming a Sponsor – The Booster Club is a non-profit organization, so your (or your company’s) sponsorship may be tax deductible.

General Booster Club meetings are held at least four times during the school year. Meetings are held either in the band hall or in the high school auditorium.

Meetings will be announced via email from the Booster Club President at least 72 hours prior to the meeting date, as outlined in the Tomball Cougar Pride Band Booster Club By-Laws.

Ask a Band/Guard Alumnus about their best memories of high school and they are likely to involve some aspect of the Band program. The success of the program is dependent on you – the parent(s) – to provide the necessary “behind the scenes” volunteering and fundraising that keep this program going. Many opportunities will arise throughout the year for you to volunteer and utilize your special talents to help the program. Volunteering is also a great way to meet friends and network with other families that you will be able to lean on for support when you need to share rides or confirm schedules. The TCP Band Booster Club utilizes Charms to schedule volunteers.

If you are an active Band or Guard student, or a parent of an active Band or Guard student: (Please read all the instructions before beginning!) Click the “Charms” link located in the Quick Links at the bottom of the home page, or under the Resources tab. Log into your Charms account. Do either of the following.

  1. Click on the button labeled “calendar.”
  2. Navigate from month to month, and scroll to see all events in a calendar view
  3. Look for Events that say “Need Volunteers….” and/or have a “Hand icon.”
  4. Click on the hand icon.

  1. Click the button labeled “volunteers.”
  2. Select an event from the drop down list.
  3. Click the “Show Volunteer Needs” button.

In any open rows on the Volunteer Sign Up List, type your Name, Phone Number and E-Mail address, then click the “Sign Up” button. (Please Note: your phone number and e-mail address will not be displayed on the online schedule; these will be seen and used only by the Volunteer Coordinator.) Click the word “Main” or “Calendar” or “Volunteers” on the menu bar and sign up for more events! The Booster Club, directors, and students all appreciate your support!
